Designed to enhance clinician training in cardiac catheterization, this innovative model simulates the intraoperative visualization of coronary arteries using fluoroscopy. Developed in collaboration with Dr. Farhan Khawaja, interventional cardiologist at Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute, this tool helps new clinicians build a critical mental connection between the fluoroscopy screen and the patient’s anatomy—without the risks associated with live procedures.
This training model features:
- A detailed cardiac structure with radiopaque coronary arteries for realistic imaging.
- A radiolucent base set at a clinically accurate distance to replicate heart positioning on a cath lab table.
Ideal for simulation labs and educational programs, this model supports safer, more effective training for the next generation of cardiovascular specialists. Currently in its final development phase, it will soon be available for clinical education use.
